I believe that this truth-speaking or truth-telling needs to take place not just in public forums, but also in more intimate venues where there is safety in sharing. This is one of the reasons why I am such a big advocate of mentoring. In a mentoring relationship both parties can have the opportunity to listen and learn from each other.
